Wants to meditate until he finds a cone of the human experience. Mara is threatened that siddhartha wants to leave sumsara and find moksha. Sends a sexy woman to seduce him didn"t work. Tries to scare him off, tries to scare him from meditating. Ocean goddess clears away all these distractions. Buddha is fasting and seeking liberation in forest for 6 years.
