Role of gender = men and women don"t differ. Compliance = direct efforts by individuals to change the behaviors of others. Compliance techniques: ingratiation = flattery, complimenting, kissing ass, that"s not all = giving incentives. **symbolic social influence = internal pressure based on people who we respect (e. g. parents) Direct orders from one person to another. Gender = more likely to listen to men than women.
