While experimenting with modal concepts from around the world, coltrane also connected his own spiritual awakening to this new style by composing. Album recorded by coltrane"s quartet on dec 9, 1964. Four-part suite, broken up into tracks: acknowledgement (which contains the famous mantra that gave the suite its name), resolution, pursuance and psalm.
