Leadership is viewed as having different requirements and viewed as more or less important from culture to culture, but some conclusions about the similarities and differences can be made. In every different culture and leadership situation, the followers will have varying ideas of what makes a good leader. What makes one strong, respected leader in the arab world, for example, would seem strange in the united states, for example, when they make numerous rules and do not implement them. What is seen as respectable and normal for strong leaders varies. Leadership is something fluid and difficult to describe or pinpoint anywhere. The ability to expect performance from followers and inspire them to work hard, based on the core beliefs of the firm. The degree to which leaders can motivate people to have a common goal and see one another as members of a team in the workplace with common purpose.
