A garment factory in nyc on march 25th, 1911, caught on fire on the top 3 floors and women were unable to escape due to the doors being locked to prevent them from using the restroom. This resulted in these women either burning to death, or jumping stories down to their death. This sparked talk and made people realize how terrible the working conditions were. Journalists who exposed the poor and people in the lower class. They helped show the world the terrible conditions they were in. Upton sinclairs book on the working conditions of the food industry. This law made it so that companies had to list every single ingredient used in their food and drugs. the triple alliance was made up of italy, germany and austria the triple entente.
