Filter feeding feed on small particles (usually in water). Food intake involves some kind of apparatus to filter particles from water. Substrate feeding live in or on their food source. Fluid feeding liquid derived from another living organism. Bulk feeding eat food in large solid pieces. Oral cavity, pharynx and esophagus food intake and physical digestion with some chemical digestion.
