Possess a frill (shelf of bone projecting from back of skull. Vertebrae of the back are ridged so to lock together. The skull was attatched to the neck such that the head could point down. Two groups are recognized primitive with smaller, flatter domes, advanced group with higher domes, possibly just male and female. Famous as head butters, not a universal interpretation, could be any number of reasons. All have frill some with horns on frill. Discovered in mongolia by roy chapman andrews in 1927. For limbs and hind limbs about the same size. Best known is triceratops (8 m, late cretaceous. Fore and hind limbs were strong, equal length.
