The progressive era: muckrakers: populous thought they were standing a freedomship with land, a loose correlation, different reform movements, not every progressive was interested in every reform groups. They came from different backgrounds like business, middle class women, academics social scientists (women). The final push for women suffrage was from the progressives. Largely populous ideas and some harmful ideas, focused on cities because the role of cities changed immensely with the population grew where the elite lived like writers artists. The city is where you saw inequality the most. 20th century electric irons, vacuums, once this came out women had time to enjoy themselves. Popular culture: nickelodeons: 1910 some 25 civilians attended nickelodeons 5 cents for a film. Young people changed with this result, dating changed, men were able to take women out, often men had cars, make out parties (necking), advertisement became more often with ads coming for women to pick upon items.
