Maria miller stewart-1803 born free, but they died when she was a child so she became a servant for a white family. 1818 went to boston and married james stewart died after three years, she was force to write and speech to survive. African women to have her political speeches reprinted. Angelina grimke weld & sarah grimke- left the angulo church, joined the quakers, and condemned their family for the treatment of slaves. They talked in front of both men and women shocking other people. Angelina was a very compelling speaker and both of them would tour the north to speak about the evils of slavery, they talked women rights and abolition.
