Certain ime of the year we want less water and someimes we cant more. The spaial distribuion of water is a problem. In the us: as we become less dependent on agriculture, our needs decline. Policy response is supply side management and demand. The way we"re going to address these problems is feeding the people more water. Supply side water management strategies: desalinaion: use seawater and come up with a process to take salt out of seawater so you just have water. Environmental outcome problems: you have to do something with the salt. Salt is not good for the growth of plants.
