Policy response is supply side management and demand. The way we"re going to address these problems is feeding the people more water. Supply side water management strategies: desalinaion: use seawater and come up with a process to take salt out of seawater so you just have water. Environmental outcome problems: you have to do something with the salt. Salt is not good for the growth of plants.
