Psychosis is a temporary or permanent psychiatric condiion: psychoic paients lose contact with reality. People with psychosis have hallucinaions, disordered thoughts or delusional beliefs. Vitamin deiciency- if you have a b1 deiciency. Lsd is a recreaional drug that can induce psychosis. Dopamine, serotonin, and noradrenaline systems are afected. Hallucinaions are brought about when serotonin receptor 5ht-2a increases glutamate in the cortex. Lsd use can result in percepive disorder long ater use: a minority of users report lashbacks. Abnormal cell growth in the brain results in a tumor: this kills nearby cells and/or displaces brain issue. Tumors in some areas can result in disordered thought, mania, or hallucinaions. Someimes, the tumor is far from the area afected or is in the ventricle. Syphilis is a corkscrew shaped bacterium that can cause lesions throughout the body. If the bacterium invades the brain, it causes lesions: this is called neurosyphilis.
