Scientific study of human experience: brain, mind, and behavior are how we measure the study of the human experience. Brain: organ that functions as the center of the nervous system. We can study a myopic level (genes, neurochemical, neurological/physiological) Other ways to analyze psych: mental, behavior, social situations and influences. Distinct characteristics of psychology: multiple determinism- ex: what causes someone to be a bully: genes, parenting style, peer pressure, fragile but inflated ego)
