Individual things are just complexes of some matter placed into some shape. Have certain functional capabilities- grant substance ability to achieve final cause. Anytime we think we are observing change, we are mistaken. Change exists in so far as we are brought down by our physical lives. Things in the intelligible forms don"t change, they"ve always existed and always will. We don"t achieve knowledge of the forms by watching the visible realm.
