Sounds are combined to words words are combined to form sentences sentences combine to compose stories, conversations, and narratives. Earlier you"re exposed to a language and get experience the easier it is to learn that language and use it. Time between it coming from our lips and vocal cords vibrating. Developmental changes in which experience fine-tunes the perceptual system. Utterances of words often come in strings of words without pauses. Babies with deaf parents babble w/ their hands. Infants often know more words than they can produce and their caregiver"s realize. Infants begin producing words between 10-15 months of age.
