Sarah has abe sleep with hagar (servant) and becomes pregnant with ishmael. Sarah becomes pregnant and gives birth to isaac. Akeda: binding of isaac and (almost) sacrifice in the bible. In islam ishmael is the one that is being sacrificed. In the quran, the son is not named. Quran; we gave them good news of isaac and, after him, jacob . This tells us that isaac will have a son; jacob god is telling sarah this no drama if god were to tell abe to sacrifice isaac. We know that jacob is the son of isaac even though the text is ambiguous in that jacob may be another son to sarah. Question of inheritance comes in ishmael is still a son to abraham just because of mother, isaac is not better than ishmael. Built by adam (and eve) who was thrown out of heaven.
