Da vinci was a painter, sculptor, engineer, etc. Prince"s capital: power and money comes from one source, which is the driving development for the city. Merchant city: enterprise, creativity, and commerce drive the city. Guilds: people with the same profession would come together to advance their own agenda. To be a citizen, one had to belong to a guild. Became so powerful & wealthy that they were exclusive and political. Exhibits the baroque style of architecture, which greatly differs from gothic style.
