Interconnection thesis- all elements are part of one whole. Functional- all elements of social life support or reinforce each other. Explanatory functional interconnected thesis- similar to functional. The issue of conflict and strain in society falsifies basic problems. Also too conservative in their explanations- if everything has its useful purpose, there is no need for need for conflict between the parts.
