Talks about meaning in art as that we are the ones who create the meaning and are the. Sacramental art is art which combines several meanings and these reinforce each other. Art often gives tangible expression to abstract ideas about beauty which are often linked to human health and goodness. Relation of art and truth, art as beauty, truth, goodness, etc. In relation to religion in art it can be used to educate (history), persuade (mortality), transform, etc. Also helps move between natural and supernatural worlds, a way to contact supernatural, compel supernatural to act, heal, etc. Art can also help convey more abstract principles of religion and other philosophies. Symbolism is the central thing, everything is symbolic on some level and while all art represents something some symbols are more abstract than others.
