Document Summary
Fallibility: tendency to make mistakes or be wrong. Reification: treating an immaterial object as material. Retrodiction: the act of making a prediction about the past. Note to self: revise this one for grading. Discussing engineering fitness" when talking about adaptationist approaches, inw which you treat adaptation as a cause and an effect thus making it circular reasoning and incorrect. Basically, as people we just muddle through in other words we roll with it. We respond to the past not the future which indicates that adaption cannot be the cause and effect, only the effect as we adapt to the past. This has a lot of relation to marxism and materialism, the actual physical ways people can survive is historical materialism. Even things like forests, ecosystems, etc. aren"t real as they are analytical constructs used to describe and categorize places, things, and interactions.
