Membership negotiations = people negotiating their roles, learning about their duties, and becoming insiders in the org. Self-structuring = organization itself, refers to policy documents and charts, official communication that is often written down that illustrated policies and procedures of the organization. Activity coordination = individual members of the org that talk to get things done, ex; writing a speech.
