Troy: not greek, paris son of king of troy. Offered wealth, glory, or love by 3 female goddesses. Chose love with the most beautiful woman alive. This woman (helen) happens to be the wife of the king of sparta. She either would have love at first sight or the goddesses would cast a spell on her making her fall in love with paris. So, the king of sparta convinces other city-states to go to war with troy to take back honor and. Helen has a face that could launch 1000 ships . The war went back and forth for 10 years until the greeks finally decided that they had a plan. Plan was to give a gift of a carved horse as a peace offering to the trojans. Greek soldiers hid in the hills and inside of the horse as their ships departed to give the effect that they were all gone.
