Roman instruments were borrowed from the Greeks. They used it for religious purposes and
encouragement for battle.
Aerophones (wind instruments) Uses vibrating columns of air *like a flute or trumpet*
Chordophone (string instrument) vibrations of strings *guitar, violin*
Idiophones- any musical which produces sound from its own substance *cymbals, bell, castanets*
Membranophone- musical instruments such as drums, which the sound is produced by hitting, rubbing,
or blowing against the skin or membrane stretched over a frame. *the frame drum or tambourine is one
of the oldest instruments*
