Open bone is broken and it came through the skin; major problem infection. Closed bone is broken but the skin is intact. Greenstick bend sideways and it has little twig parts; usually seen in children. Transverse fracture that goes through and through across the bone. Oblique fracture that is diagonal across the bone. Spiral looks like candy cane; oblique and wraps around. Caused by torsion and twisting; seen in domestic violence. Depression bone is just pushed in or dent in the bone.
