Discuss why it is important to organize your ideas clearly.
It is important to organize our ideas clearly because it makes use much more
credible to the audience that is listening to our presentations. Also, trying to give our
message about the topic we’re presenting to an audience who knows little to no
information about it, can be really difficult. It is important to add examples and simplify
your words so that your audience can understand exactly what you’re talking about. In
order to give these examples, we need to be organized in our work. Having an organized
speech can give you confidence while you are presenting because you know exactly what
you are talking about and can skip back and forth from topic to topic while staying on
track with your presentation. Organization in ideas can also help us in our professional
life and in our school life too. We are most likely going to do many presentations in our
careers so being organized can infer to our audience that we are professional and serious
about our work.
Application
How is the oral style of speeches different from the way the information is presented in
written style?
While all communication includes the transferring of information from a person
to another, there is a difference in the style of which we choose to do so. Written Style is
more so sophisticated and lengthy. The writer has a choice of what words to use and the
audience can re-read anything they might have been confused on the first time. On the
other hand, Oral Style can also be sophisticated but in order for an oral presentation to
excel they speaker must prepare until they are confident they are extremely credible.
They also need to make sure it is simplified enough to where the audience can understand
because they cannot go through the oral presentation on their own if something wasn’t
clear.
