This lecture was called how to interpret the bible by mary healy, on thursday, Mary healy, is a professor of sacred scripture at sacred heart major. She began her lecture by sharing a bible verse. She continued on by discussing her perspectives on scripture being interpreted literally or spiritually, then on apparent contradictions and historical inaccuracies. From the beginning of her lecture, i knew that healy was a very smart individual. From her bio, i knew that she was a senior fellow at the st. paul center for biblical theology and is currently involved in the catholic commentary on sacred scripture project. This project is a series of commentaries that interpret scripture from within the heart of the catholic church. I also found it amazing that she was the author of its first volume: the gospel of mark.
