In the past 7/8 years, meave leakey discovered another early human in kenya. It means the flat-faced human from kenya. Its found in northern kenya (right below ethiopia) Bouri, ethipia (east africa), not far from lucy. Garhi"s skull is found in the same spot/hole with stone tools and the bones of ancient antelope with cut marks on the bones caused by stone tools. This may have been the first tool-using, meat eating human (we will assume it was) It has to do with brain size, the cranial capacity is the volume measure of the skull (modern people are about 1500 cubic centimeters, adult chimps are about 300-400 ccs, austalopithicenes were about 400-500 ccs). The benchmark for the genus homo is 600 ccs. The earliest member is from about 2. 5 mya. Olduvai, omo, turkana (east africa) and swartkrans (south africa) Early genus homo tools = olduwan industry.
