Claude and joshua stereotype testing, saw that people who identify their race at the start of a test do more poorly than when identifying their race at the end. Amygdala shows more activity towards black people and white people in dark lighting, thus we relate dark things to fear. Equal status- there should be equal status between the two groups in the setting win which contact occurs. Common goals- contact should occur under conditions characterized by common goals between goals. Intergroup cooperation- common goals must be attained through intergroup cooperation.
