Student"s name was used to indicate gender and race/ethnicity. They sent out several more names, some white sounding, some african american sounding, latino sounding, indian, chinese, etc. White executives enter a fast track earlier than minority executives - 5 years to promotion to mid-management position, compared to 9 years. Minority executives and plateaued managers don"t differ in promotion in earlier stage. Plateaued managers experience more lateral moves, and assigned to jobs that do not offer gaining new skills.
