Distances changed and how we think about them (they have shrunk) Globalizaion is a process (we are sill in this process today) New and increased number of social networks and aciviies (facebook) Expansion and stretching of social relaions, aciviies and interdependencies (seasonal foods all year long) Intensiicaion and acceleraion of social exchange and aciviies (skype) Creaion, expansion, and intensiicaion occur beyond a material level: our way of thinking about the world has shited, both posiively and negaively.
