Computer-based information system (cbis) - is an information system that uses computer technology to perform some or all of its intended tasks. It components of hardware, software, networks, and databases form the information technology platform. Developing information systems, oversee security & risk, and manage data cumulatively is information technology services. The it components plus it services comprise the organizations information technology infrastructure. An application (app) is a computer program designed to support a specific task or business process. Functional area information systems (faiss) are supporting pillars for the information systems namely, business intelligence systems and dashboards.
