Olap- online analyical processing data analyical too that enables a user to easily and selecively extract an view data from diferent points of view (mass data) Olap cube (muli-dimensional database) stores and pre-calculates data. Olap system: few complex queries, infrequent reporing, data does not have to be absolutely up to date, provides mulidimensional view of data. Olap servers read data from an operaional database, perform some preliminary calculaions, and then store the results in an olap database. Data mining- uses staisical techniques to ind paterns and relaionships among data predict what your customer"s wants and needs, and maybe more. Results from data mining are used for classiicaion and predicion. Regression- using of previous experience to make predicion predicion: unsupervised data mining. Cluster analysis- to capture the possible natural groupings between diferent objects represented in the data.
