In 2010, a man named newnan killed a man after he dropped his kids off at day care. They go to trial and the judge violates the attorney-client boundary. In georgia you can be sentenced under guilty from mental illness, but to do this you have to admit to doing the crime. He gets convicted but they reopen the trial and they use insanity as the defense. To them if you say you committed the crime, you committed the crime. They jury didn"t buy the insanity defense and he goes back to prison, but this time under a straight guilty verdict. Consecutive sentence: where you have to serve all of one sentence before you serve another.
