Concurrent sentence: serving all sentences at the same time. Insanity: in order to use insanity as a defense in a court of law, you must admit committing the crime. Not a favorable defense in the eyes of a jury because it"s not a laymen concept. Difficult to use insanity as a defense in front of a jury.
