Document Summary

In the paleolithic, or old stone age, art" was made by the hunters and gatherers, who had no fixed settlement. The people in the paleolithic stone age are not always thought of as being intelligent, however they found a way to not only live but to prosper as well, because of this we must respect their level of intelligence. We define intelligence as a human exclusive trait. Neanderthals had to be problem solvers, they had to think quickly and be on their toes at all times. These people prospered and lived so we must respect their intelligence. Art is the first syllable of several significant words in this course, artifact, artificial, and artifice, etc . An object manipulated by man kind in some way, redone per say. Something that did not obtain its shape, color, size, etc by nature. Found objects, and essentially assisted ready mades, they just need some man action to become an artifact.
