Empirical approach - gather information from what we can hear, touch, smell, taste, and see. Unbiased - not having your own opinions influence scientific data (objective). Created the name psychology" and opened up the first psychological laboratory. Structuralism: describing the mind by breaking down thoughts into their most basic ideas/elements.
