Document Summary

Aristotle described rhetoric as "the capacity to see the possible means of persuasion in each situation. " To put it another way, if you wish to be convincing, you need to be pragmatic or tactful. You have to find the technique which works for your particular audience. Aristotle also claimed there are three key approaches to render the argument convincing. He named them logos, the ethos and the pathos. Such three persuasive arguments are essential for communicating (the nature of writing, 2017). Ethos is the talker"s or writer"s claim to legitimacy and credibility. Let"s presume we like to learn something about what becoming a female ceo in big business is like. Unfortunately, writers find it much harder to establish ethos than speakers do. If you speak, you can offer with plenty visual indications that expose why you"re there you should really be believed. Your shoes, your movements, your body language are all affecting the audience.
