More life events gives more health problems. Social readjustment: the intensity and length of time necessary to accommodate to a life event, regardless of the desirability of this event. Relied to retrospective assessment: patients who were already ill were asked. Some events just do not occure so often that you can assess health. Fales to address internal and external factors that may moderate the relation between events and stress/illness outcomes. Two people could go through the same things but rate them differently.
