Management definition 1: the process of administering and co-ordinating the organization"s resources effectively and efficiently in an effort to achieve the organization"s goals. Taylorism (classical management) is: standardized work (everyone does the same thing, compartmentalized (simplified work, closely supervised, motivated by pay rate. Henri fayol (administrative management): taylorism but: one boss for every employee, team spirit for organization goals. Max weber (bureaucratic management): taylorism but: documented rules, authority ranks, no favouritism, promotion by performance. Works well in lots of uneducated labour market. Behavioural management: efficiency of taylorism but organizations are social systems.
