Everything wants to be near its natural place. Colors, odors and sounds have a real physical existence. In the act of destroying they created the mind-body problem. Aristotle: the world is as we perceive it. There is no gab between appearance and reality. Observation is key to nature, what you observe is what there is. Galileo, descartes: there is an immense gab between reality and appearance. Reality hides behind the appearance --> we should look for rational cues. G and d: by abstract mathematical thinking = mathematical (or classical) science.
