Different: no legislative power, representation weird as, you can"t control 100% executive bodies and decisions taken. What is the european parliament: most democratic but still limitations, not all powers. True not as much powers as national legislatures, but still considerable powers and influence in eu system: legislative, budgetary & control executive. Ep active legislator: 1,071 legislative acts voted between 2009 and 2014. Which procedure applies to a particular legislative proposal depends on which treaty articles the proposal is based. The more (a) is used, the more power to ep. The less (b) & (c) are used, the more power to ep: co-decision procedure = ordinary legislative procedure (lisbon) = ep has power to veto legislative proposals, therefore increasing its bargaining power when seeking to amend legislative proposals.
