Document Summary

Neurotransmitter molecules: when something goes wrong, it could be something to do at the neural transmitter level. Structures are essentially units of the brain that tell us about a function, and may be divided by location, cytoarchitecture, etc. brain dysfunction may occur at a structural level. If someone struggles with their executive control, it can cause a lot of problems as its to do with top down processing. Connectivity regions of the brain that work together: everything in the brain is interconnected by neurones so they all interact with each other and work together, brain networks look at these connections. Problems that occur within the brain that contribute to functional impairment. Illness diseases, strokes: brain damage something external happens that damages the brain, substances e. g. drug abuse, genetics. This gives us a lot of brain plasticity, which is important for rehabilitation as we can use other brain areas.
