The plot story of the play the rant, basically relates to the big factor of what"s going on in our society now all the police shooings. The play takes place in brooklyn/ new york. A young 16- year-old black auisic boy is shot by a police oicer about three imes for no apparent reason. Then we have the invesigator, lila mahnaz trying to bring jusice to what happen to the boy that was shot. So she conducts an inquiry into the incident. And throughout the invesigaion of the death we have people poining ingers at each other. The mother of the boy, denise reeves tells lila she witnesses a black police oicer that goes by the name charles simmons held her son down on the ground that sargent clark shot her son. Though simmons claims that he never let the police car, and he had no idea that the shooing was going on at the ime.
