The ballerina who loves a b-boy is a classic story of two lovers coming from completely different backgrounds, meeting oppositions from their former lives, and overcoming them with their love. Well through a close analysis of the play i feel as though these questions may begin to be answered, even if the entire performance was done without spoken word. Perhaps ballerina did not find satisfaction in the dancing she did. All the rules and rigidity of the positions may have left her feeling as though she had no way of expressing herself. Though i have said she was merely mediocre as a street dancer (and i stand by that statement), i believe that true art comes from passion rather than skill. So perhaps her love for the art of street dance enticed her into switching methods of dance, but more likely she just fell in love.
