Patterns of suicide were connected to social integration (depending on which religion they were part of and advocated more rules reduced suicide rates) Men feel isolated and struggle to connect with other people. Suicide rates based on gender, age, and race/ethnicity. Older people feel mobilized because they lost something, and feel more isolated from community. White men(gender) who are 55(age) and older have higher rates of suicide then other groups. Americans(higher rates of church participation) are the least to commit suicide. More religious (involved in religious community) tend to commit suicide less.
