Practice rehearse your speech several times before you give it ask for feedback from family and friends, also practice vocal exercises, focus on annunciation and clear, slow pronunciations . experience makes you more confident. Pitch: vary high and low notes for emphasis. Rate: don"t speak too quickly vary your rate for emphasis but remember to speak slowly. Stand up straight, don"t lean on the podium, rock/sway back and forth, or shift your weight. Gesture, as appropriate, but do so with intent.
