Memory: individual memory the speaker uses in constructing the speech,shared public memory which the speaker may appeal to/use. The art- fine tuning the innate ability to speak publicly. Invention guides the speaker on what should be said rather than how it should be said, thus commiting us to research. Begin by considering the problem or situation, , your relationship to the audience, your motivations and those of your audience, what logical and or emotional will work best. Topics of invention/proof is what you discover and may pass on to your audience: definitions, division, comparison, relationship, circumstance, value.
