Mother giving advice about various things and etiquette (warnings) It"s not one conversation it"s a scattering of information. A representation of various things the mother has said to the girl overtime. A lot of tension between the mother and the daughter. William carlos williams was a doctor didn"t say it was a case study of himself but a fictional story.
