America passing over florida and going up to the north carolina: average temp above freezing. There are days and nights where it is bellow freezing, but it never last all day or more than 3 to 4 day: breaks in the cold weathers, summers can get hot. So if a wildfire starts it is very easy for the wildfire to spread. (this causes mud slides. This was happened because at this point the south was not as urbanized: the forest are sacrifice zones. Started to try and sustain the amount of trees. Where the agencies job was to sustain the forest area or if it was already cut down, they would grow more trees and such. Expansion in housing areas: footprint of the cities- 1850- very small amount of land people walked every where and were few houses and such. 1992- now comes together because there is an urban metro areas.
