Geography: the study of spatial arrangement of phenomena on the earth"s surface. (plants, animals, climates, cities, culture, etc) Whats the point: curiosity, evolution, and survival, transition of culture with different sects and how they do stuff different. The more land you have the more power, military advantage: cultural reasons- people want to spread their culture and religion to other people. Why are natural resources here but not over there: much of the earth surfaced is well known and mapped. Interested in people and what they dp: economic, businesses and why they are located in certain areas, future, physial-spatial distribution of the natural earth. Influence on one pathway, influences another (connected: human environment interrelationships, how people impact environment and how environment impact people, climate change, endangered species, tsunami. Scientific method (world image, theory, hypothesis, testing/falsification: to answer a question, to develop or create new knowledge, theory, refers to existing knowledge. You can"t prove anything or know if something is true.
