(rapid industrialization) Business broken down into shipping/receiving, personnel, customer service, sales, etc. No longer i built , i build this piece , and worker loses sense of identity. Company controls all aspects of distribution from raw materials to final product. Henry ford paid his workers well so that he could sell to them as well: separation of ownership and management, bureaucratization, depersonalization of workplace, assembly line, vertical integration, oligopoly. Results because there will be important groups that do not feel they are benefiting as they should: rise of organized labor.
